Domestic Energy Performance Certificate – £65 – £85*

The process and timescales for a Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is as follows:

  1. You fill in our online query form or give me a call to get a quote.
  2. I reply to your query within 24 hours and we agree a price and date for the home visit inspection.
  3. I post you the agreement documentation and initial questionnaire.
  4. You fill the initial questionnaire in and send it back to me within a few days, but before the inspection date.
  5. I meet you at your house and go through the 45 minute inspection.
  6. Over the next 2-3 days, I do some further research and calculations.
  7. I then produce the online Domestic EPC, using NES one, the NHER’s official software, and send the report to you.
  8. Your Domestic EPC is valid for 10 years if you are renting your property out, or for up to 3 years if you are selling your property.  There are some special complications and exclusions, please see the relevant FAQ or Government CLG document for further details.
  9. The total timescale is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on what is most convenient for you.

Home Condition Report – £200 – £280*

The process and timescales for a Home Condition Report (HCR) is as follows:

  1. You fill in our online query form or give me a call to get a quote.
  2. I reply to your query within 24 hours and we agree a price and date for the home visit inspection.
  3. I post you the agreement documentation and initial questionnaire.
  4. You fill the initial questionnaire in and send it back to me within a few days, but before the inspection date.
  5. I meet you at your house and go through the 2-3 hour inspection.
  6. Over the next 2-5 days, I do some further research and calculations.
  7. I then produce the online Home Condition Report, using NES one, the NHER’s official software, and send the report to you.
  8. Home Condition Reports are not mandatory at this point in time, but are useful documents to help you or prospective buyers find out the condition and if there are any areas of concern regarding your house. For further information on HCR’s, please see our FAQ page.
  9. The total timescale is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on what is most convenient for you.
